Old Masters Stains 1767821 Editorial Review
The Old Masters 72004 Master Armor, Flat, 1 Quart has garnered a positive reception from woodworking enthusiasts and professionals alike. The product is designed for ease of application, with many users noting how it goes on smoothly and delivers a flawless, flat finish that enhances the appearance of wood, especially on reclaimed materials. Customers found that adhering to the recommended three coat application, with light sanding in between, yields a superb finish that rivals high-quality alternatives. Professional furniture refinishers have particularly praised the product for its ability to achieve a "fine furniture" look, stating that it brought out the grain beautifully in woods like walnut, while avoiding unwanted reflections characteristic of glossier finishes. While some users acknowledged the higher price point compared to big box store brands, they concluded that the necessity of fewer coats led to a better cost-to-use ratio, with less product required overall. Although feedback on the effectiveness of the product is overwhelmingly positive, there has been some criticism regarding shipping and packaging, which is outside the scope of this review. Overall, Old Masters Master Armor is positioned as a standout choice for those seeking a high-quality finish while saving time and labor. **
