It was specially designed to address the problem of communication between computers with default Bluetooth stack and TR-Remotes (motionplus built-in) that have considerable lag compared to a Wii. With the latest firmware installed, the DolphinBar performs very well with third-party Wii remotes as well, making it a versatile addition to a gamer's collection. It is important to note that the latest firmware update from April 2017 only works with the newer DolphinBar, while the older firmware update from August 2016 should work with the original DolphinBar hardware. Overall, the Mayflash DolphinBar is a great product that provides users with an easy, consistent syncing experience, lag-free Wiimote input, and amazing accuracy for gaming. Although it may not function as a Bluetooth sensor for other devices, buyers can still use it as a generic USB-powered sensor bar on an actual Wii system.
